Join Friends of Nevis and uncover the rich biodiversity of one of Scotland’s historic woodlands, Coille Phuiteachain in Glen Loy. We will be exploring a rare Caledonian Pinewood Inventory site, where majestic Scots pine intertwines with the vibrant life of the ‘Scottish Rainforest’—a unique ecosystem of Alder, Oak, Hazel, lichens, and bryophytes.
The day will be led by Friends of Nevis volunteer, Rory Stewart, who will talk about the stories these ancient trees hold and the vital role they play in our landscape today.
